Amy Winehouse’s Death Re-Investigated

When Amy Winehouse passed away last year at the all-too-soon age of 27, the final cause was attributed to accidental alcohol poisoning. But it turns out that might not have been the actual reason the Back To Black singer left this world all too early.

According to London authorities, the coroner who oversaw Amy’s autopsy, Assistant Deputy Suzanne Greenaway did not have the required 5 years of experience with the London Law Society to perform it on Amy or anyone. She was, in fact, appointed to the position by her husband in 2009.

Her husband has resigned due to the controversy and a new inquiry into how she passed might be coming as soon as next month, although Amy’s family are not behind that happening.

Just let her rest, people; either way, it’s still one of the most tragic stories in recent musical history.

Remember Amy in the way she should be with one of my favorite songs by her, Valerie” after the jump.
