Talk about truly being Punk’d!
Cops have finally captured the person who caused the homes of Justin Bieber and Ashton Kutcher to be “swatted” earlier this year (in case you don’t recall, “swatting” is when a hoax is placed to law enforcement to send them to a celebrity’s home with claims of heavy violence and are responded to by a SWAT team).
However, the biggest twist came when police barged into the home of the “swatter” and came face to face with a 12-year-old boy!

Both incidents took place in October within a week of each other. Law enforcement in California eventually tracked down the juvenile offender yesterday.
“On December 10, 2012, Hollywood Detectives arrested a juvenile from the Southern California region for the Ashton Kutcher swatting incident, as well as a similar swatting incident that took place at the home of Justin Bieber. Other swatting incidents involving this individual have been identified.”
The boy is said to come from a very broken home with an “incredibly dysfunctional family”, living with a mother who has “virtually checked out” enough of her child’s life to the point where he does not go to school and instead, stays in front of his computer and is “extremely antisocial”.
TMZ also claims that the boy is quite intelligent “but by no means a Zuckerberg-esque genius. Still, he was able to evade cops for months.”
Considering his young age, he will probably give him counseling and probation — which will be cleared from his record should the counseling be completed. He will also be removed from the home in the coming days and placed in a “stable foster environment”.
He has yet to be fully charged with any crime.
