Robin Roberts Continues To Inspire

RR

I constantly find more and more reasons to truly admire the strength of Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts, who hit a huge milestone over the final weekend of 2012 — 100 days since her bone marrow transplant.

Robin’s doctor expressed the reason why the centennial day mark was so big in her recovery following the operation in September, following a side effect to the chemotherapy she received in battling breast cancer the year prior.

“We have to watch patients super closely for 100 days”, said her doctor Dr. Gail Roboz. “We don’t trust anything for the first 100 days. After that, we’re happy.”

In a moment of celebration, the 52-year-old beloved reporter shared a picture on her Twitter and added a message to her fans thanking them for their endless support on her Facebook.

“I couldn’t let the year end without saying…thank you. Thank you for your prayers, positive energy and well wishes.

My sister, Dorothy, always comes up with a family motto for the new year. This year’s is: “All will be serene in 2013.”

Let’s hope that rings true for everyone. Continued well wishes to the amazing Miss Roberts!
