Fantasia’s Unwanted Shots Get Major Shade

Even when you win American Idol, life isn’t always a fairy tale.

Season 3′s Fantasia Barrino is definitely realizing her star power doesn’t amount to much after Jet Magazine posted a shot of the singer with a recent article that was taken 10 years ago on it’s front cover, even though the singer sent them newer pics that showed off the “new direction” she’s taking in her career (Jet rejected the new shots).

On Feb. 20, Fantasia tweeted an Instagram photo of the cover with “FALSE FALSE FALSE” written over it. “This saddens Me!! It is clear that this picture is 10 Years Old and JET magazine Puts it on the Cover!! After I send them the NEW LOOK AND DIRECTION.. SAD!!,” she wrote.

“I WANT A PUBLIC APOLOGY FROM JET,” she added. “Now im not sure if the interview is correct. SEE!! American they and use me as they crash Dummy BUT NO MORE. IF I DONT STAND FOR SOMETHING ILL FALL FOR ANYTHING.”

Eventually, ‘Tasia got her wish and her apology — but it came with a shady price: the editor of Jet, Mitzi Miller blasted the 28-year-old and brought reference to the singer’s “functionally illiterate” life with a Facebook post.

“The fact that I wasted an hour of my workday writing a press release to address an issue created by a person who cannot even read it is just… #whyiwannaBahousewife”, she shared.

Obviously realizing that was probably the most wrong way to apologize, another apology was issued for the “thoughtless comment made during a moment of frustration. It was unprofessional and not representative of the JET mission, which is to uplift.”

I’m guessing she won’t be using that medium to promote her upcoming album, The Side Effects of You.
