You snooze, you lose.
At least that’s what Kevin Clash is saying to the three men who are suing him for sexual misconduct when they were minors.
The former voice behind Elmo is hoping to get all of their lawsuits thrown out because he believes there has been too much time since the abuse occurred in order for them to get any sort of restitution.
And no one is actually noticing he’s pretty much admitting he was guilty now, right? OK, let’s move on.
According to Clash, the statute of limitations on the sexually-motivated crimes he’s accused of committing is six years — and the crimes in each instance allegedly occurred more than ten years ago.
As we reported, Clash has been sued by the three men — each of whom claims Clash engaged in sexual activity with them when they were minors, causing them mental and psychological damage.
According to all three, it took them time to realize just how damaging the abuse was — but Clash isn’t going for it and hopes to get all of their cases tossed.
Again — he just admitted his guilt. Anyone? Anyone?
And if anyone else remembers — there was a fourth accuser. Just sayin’.
