Um… she looks hot and all, but she does know she’s about to appear on a Disney show, right?
Either way, Danielle Fishel, who will soon be reprising her role as the lovable Topanga Lawrence-Matthews on the upcoming Boy Meets World re-boot entitled Girl Meets World, is showing off some sexy curves on next month’s Maxim magazine.
Again — Disney show. But alright.
In the interview, which is a lot less racy — we find out some interesting things about her character on the hit ABC series and also some surprising personal stuff about the 31-year-old (who is a recent college grad and soon-to-be-wife — congrats on both!).
- the name of Topanga was actually conceived while show creator Michael Jacobs was driving past Topanga Canyon in California. “He says that if they had called him two miles later, I would’ve been named Canoga, which is the next exit”, she shared.
- contrary to popular belief, she never dated on-screen love, Ben Savage (Cory Matthews) off-screen: “No! That rumor was entirely my fault because I once said, on The Tyra Banks Show, that Ben and I went on a date, and that turned into ‘Danielle and Ben dated,’” she told the magazine. “We went on one date, when I was about 15, and by the time the dinner was over we realized mutually that we were more like family than lovers.”
- her music style is definitely not one that Topanga would ever cop to listening to: I’m huge into ’90s rap,” she admittedsaid. “It’s my jam. My all-time favorite album is Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle. And if you ever really want to see me embarrass myself, put on some Notorious B.I.G. and watch me grab my crotch and mouth all the words. It’s really embarrassing, but I can’t help myself.”
You know what? I think she just became a little more awesome to me.
