“Idol” Cheating — The Right Way

AIintro

This is not going to end well.

When American Idol starts up it’s live shows tomorrow night (the top 10 girls head out first), there will be a new option to making sure your favorite stays in the competition: it’s called a SuperVote.

Normally, viewers would have to either call, text or as of last year, vote online for their favorite competitor and were allowed up to fifty votes each.

But with SuperVote, now fans can with one click, immediately add their fifty votes to one particular person or distribute them among their favorites.

This follows a 2011 announcement that allowed fans to vote online. As always, viewers will still be able to vote via a phone call after the show, but now it seems like passionate fans won’t have to spend as much time texting massive amounts of votes to keep their favorite in the game. The new system will kick off tomorrow night, when the 10 girl semifinalists… take the stage.

Wow, talk about taking the lazy route out — but it’s sure to tip the scales in someone’s untalented favor if it’s not used properly.

And let’s be real — it won’t be.
