Chris Brown’s Probation: Someone’s A Quitter

Chris Brown Sighted in Hollywood on September 5, 2012

The probation case of Chris Brown and the fact of whether or not he completed it is getting fishier by the moment.

The police chief who signed off on his supposed fulfilled hours, Chief PD Bryan Norwood has officially resigned from his post in the middle of the scandal.

Norwood was “intimately involved” in making sure Chris performed all 180 hours on community service following his altercation with Rihanna as well as making sure he was the one to handle the case personally when it was handed off from Richmond P.D. in Virginia and even wrote a letter to the judge in the case, proclaiming it was completed.

The Mayor of Richmond says his office and the Chief reached a “mutual agreement” for his resignation.

There had been speculation for weeks the Chief might have resigned to get a similar job in Raleigh, North Carolina, but the buzz in Richmond is that the Brown scandal accelerated his decision.

If they were hoping to somehow come out of this unscathed, something tells me this wasn’t the way to do it.
