The “Blade Runner” Murder Case: Drugs and Downfalls

Golden Gala 2008 - Press Conference - July 10, 2008

Just when you don’t think you can’t get any lower…

New developments continue to arise in the case of Oscar Pistorius, who is being charged with shooting and killing his model girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp and now, the once-inspirational Olympic competitor is being painted as the new Lance Armstrong with the discovery of needles and testosterone in his South African home.

The 26-year-old’s lawyers claim that the substances found were nothing more than an “herbal remedy”, although earlier reports claimed that the defense might have initially attempted to prove that his actions toward Steenkamp were the effects of “roid rage”, with claims that there were steroids found in his residence. Blood samples from him were said to be tested to see if the performance enhancer played a role in his murderous actions.

Mind you, this is just the bail hearing, which is expected to be announced one way or the other by week’s end.
