You would think the incredible downfall of his career would be bad luck enough for MC Hammer, but he claims that the fact that he’s black was the reason he ended up in a Dublin, California jail on Saturday.
The man who created “Hammer Time” says he was sitting in his car when a police officer tapped his window and not for his autograph, either.
According to the rapper, the cop asked him if he was on “parole or probation”.
Hammer thought it was all a joke until “he pulled out his guns, blew his whistle and yelled for help.”
[He] summed it all up by saying, “only thing more dangerous than a scared man with a gun, is a scared man with an agenda, a gun and a badge. I was citied for obstruction smh.”
He was charged with obstructing an officer in the performance of their duties and resisting an officer, before being released.
Obviously, he’s calling out racial profiling as the reason he was picked up.
The Dublin PD hasn’t commented.
