Justin Bieber’s Weekend of Failure

JBInstagram

Even though he wasn’t nominated, he still managed to have a fulfilling weekend… of pure failure.

Turning his back on the Grammys probably wasn’t the best choice for Justin Bieber on a karmic scale, because it seemed like everything he did in order to compensate for his snub and subsequent choice not to attend the ceremony fell right before his eyes.

It began Saturday as he made his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live (he’s appeared on the show before solely as the performing act). His acting skills were obviously a bit off and many felt that he relied on cue cards a bit too obviously.

However, as he told the writers of the sketch show that there was nothing off-limits in poking fun with him, they definitely took him to task.

In a sketch where he played a overhyped version of himself, his bodyguard (played by SNL regular Jason Sudeikis) attempted to make Justin feel safe by hiring “look-alikes” who mostly looked nothing like the Biebs, including some that weren’t the same color as him.

“Some of these guys are black; you aren’t fooling anyone”, he said.

“Well, neither are you, little buddy”, came the reply.

Yeah, they went there.

And it got worse from that point, including a supposed “in-joke” apology about his weed scandal in a later sketch that fell on deaf ears and light applause (mostly from his fans — who stood outside during NYC’s blizzard hoping to get tickets).

But it wasn’t over yet. Sunday would bring an even stronger sense of failure to the young one.

You can read about that after the jump.

As the actual day of the Grammys came into the world, the 18-year-old decided to make the most of it and have an Livestream chat with his Beliebers, saying  he would answer some questions and even play some new stuff he was working on.

The time? 8 p.m. Eastern — which just happened to be the very same time the Grammys would begin airing on CBS.

Now, that was obviously quite the douche move on his part for many reasons, but the world definitely was extremely anti-Bieber at that moment.

Turns out the site wouldn’t even let him on.

“livestream is over capacity it not letting me in the room”, he Tweeted out. “give me a second lol…alright so livestream isnt working.. soo im gonna figure something out.”

That something else was switching over to an alternate camera site, Ustream — except that didn’t work, either.

“really now ustream is over capacity my fans are amazing but this is frustrating.”

So after all of that, he just decided to upload a clip of a new track he was working on called “You Want Me”.

There’s nothing too grand about the unfinished song, but I’m sure it made loads of his fans feel like they were the winners of the night.

Actually, I think the universe was the top choice for taking it all… away from him.

Check out the song here, if you can control your laughter after reading all of that.
