Well, that… didn’t escalate at all.
Seems like Frank Ocean is preferring to choose peace over litigation as he posted on his Tumblr that he would not press charges against Chris Brown and his posse for laying the smackdown on him and his crew in a recording studio parking lot.
“As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. But as a man I am not a killer”, the 25-year-old shared. “I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace.”
While his way is definitely a respectable option, I suppose I have to be the one to question why Chris once again is allowed to get away with violence as opposed to rightfully being charged in his continued anger-filled actions.
More after the jump.
In a surprising turn, Ocean’s music producer Michael Uzowuru shared his side of the story during that night via a blog (which has, of course, since been deleted) where he claims that Chris tried to “beat the living s**t” out of him over that parking space, coming at him from nowhere once confronted and even shoving Frank into a “candle display laced with glass”.
“I don’t know what type of demons Chris is facing”, he wrote ,”but I hope he clears them all and finds a new life rooted in love and light.”
More like finding a “new life” rooted in prison and orange jumpsuits.
Or not — considering he’s getting away with putting his hands on someone else.
