RiRi Knows She’s Making A Mistake And Doesn’t Care

rihanna-rolling-stone-2013

I do believe we all now officially have the OK to no longer give a damn about these two, which is all fine with me.

Rihanna decided that maybe it was somebody’s business to know the full deal with her reconnection with Chris Brown and sat down with Rolling Stone to share her frame of mind with getting back with her former attacker.

“I decided it was more important for me to be happy,” she told the mag. ”I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it.”

If you can handle even more of her thoughts, check on after the jump.

It’s hard to feel for her when she’s saying this now and yet in interview after interview, she spoke a lot differently, but whatever.

She goes on to share that she realizes that the view from everyone else in the world doesn’t make their reunion the “the cutest puzzle in the world”, but that we don’t see what actually goes on behind closed doors (unless it’s all over Instagram), but whatever.

“You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it’s different now. We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about s—. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that.”

As for Chris losing it and going after her again, Riri claims she has a total handle on that.

“He doesn’t have the luxury of f—ing up again. That’s just not an option. I can’t say that nothing else will ever go wrong. But I’m pretty solid in the knowing that he’s disgusted by that. And I wouldn’t have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility.”

Obviously, this took place before the whole Frank Ocean thing. But if you’re wondering what Chris has to say about all of this?

Well, too bad (or too good, if you’re tired of them as I am): Chris decided to officially make his Instagram private, placing the blame on “social media [which] takes away the essence of why we are even special or icons. So with that, I’m detaching myself from that world”.

Yeah, he’s special, alright. If only he could truly detach himself from Earth…
